Modelling Cavitation in Centrifugal Pumps with Multiple Regression Analysis
1. Introduction
Practical experience with thermal power stations suggests that cavitation in centrifugal pumps is a decisive factor governing long-term performance. Field measurements obtained from thermal power stations form the basis of the analysis, which relies on multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that cavitation in centrifugal pumps can be reduced by as much as 22% through the proposed measures. The findings are likely to be of interest to both researchers and practitioners in the field.
