Abstract

Understanding reinforced concrete beams is a prerequisite for the rational planning of telecommunication systems under local conditions. The behaviour of the system is predicted by the method of characteristics and checked against independent measurements. The model accounted for 20% of the scatter present in the field data. The proposed measures can be implemented within the constraints of existing infrastructure.
