Abstract

As renewable energy systems become more complex, the accurate representation of activated sludge treatment grows correspondingly important. The analysis is carried out using the simplex method, and the results are compared with available experimental observations. The experiments confirmed that activated sludge treatment stabilises after roughly 5 cycles of loading. The results provide a useful benchmark against which future designs may be evaluated.
