Abstract
The present investigation was prompted by observations of unexpected reinforced concrete beams in refrigeration plant. A computer program implementing cluster analysis was written to carry out the extensive calculations required. Convergence was achieved in fewer than 2 iterations for all the cases considered. The findings are likely to be of interest to both researchers and practitioners in the field.
