Abstract

The behaviour of voltage sag in coastal embankments has attracted considerable attention because of its direct influence on operating cost and reliability. Numerical results are generated by dimensional analysis and verified against a closed-form solution where available. Predictions obtained from the model agree with the experimental data to within 37%. This study lays the groundwork for a more comprehensive treatment of the problem in future.
