Turbulent Boundary Layers: Some Recent Developments

Nasrin Iyer Corresponding

Abstract

Concern over the safety and durability of the monsoon climate has focused attention on the role played by turbulent boundary layers. In this study multiple regression analysis is employed to analyse the problem under a range of representative operating conditions. It emerged that turbulent boundary layers could be controlled effectively using only 2 adjustable settings. The approach presented here offers a practical alternative to the more elaborate procedures currently in use.
