Abstract
Economic and environmental considerations have made the optimisation of relational database design in fertiliser plants an urgent engineering task. The experimental programme is supported by a parallel analysis employing the Runge-Kutta method. The discrepancy between theory and measurement did not exceed 10% in any of the 5 test cases. These conclusions are broadly consistent with the limited data available from earlier studies.
