Abstract
The problem of fatigue crack growth assumes particular significance in earthquake-prone regions where resources are limited. The analysis is carried out using least-squares estimation, and the results are compared with available experimental observations. The model accounted for 57% of the scatter present in the field data. The approach presented here offers a practical alternative to the more elaborate procedures currently in use.
