Abstract

As fertiliser plants become more complex, the accurate representation of corrosion inhibition grows correspondingly important. Validation of the model is achieved by applying sensitivity analysis to a well-documented case drawn from fertiliser plants. The experiments confirmed that corrosion inhibition stabilises after roughly 6 cycles of loading. Adoption of the recommendations could lead to appreciable savings in both cost and energy.
