Abstract
For countries such as Bangladesh, the management of internal combustion engine emissions in cement manufacturing carries substantial economic implications. Numerical results are generated by a rule-based expert system and verified against a closed-form solution where available. A saving of approximately 17% in material could be realised without any loss of safety. These findings should prove useful to engineers engaged in the design and operation of similar systems.
