On Voltage Sag Mitigation

Abstract

Safe and economical operation of agricultural irrigation systems depends critically on an accurate description of voltage sag mitigation. The governing differential equations are cast in dimensionless form and solved by spectral analysis. The measured and predicted values of voltage sag mitigation differed by no more than a few per cent. The proposed model provides a useful compromise between accuracy and computational effort.
