Statistical Hypothesis Testing Applied to Slope Stability

HTML

1. Introduction

The behaviour of slope stability under transient conditions has received comparatively little attention in the literature. A parametric investigation is conducted with statistical hypothesis testing to identify the dominant design variables. Removal efficiencies of 20% were achieved under the recommended operating conditions. Adoption of the proposed method could yield appreciable savings in both construction and maintenance.
