Abstract

The need to conserve foreign exchange encourages locally developed solutions to problems of short-term load forecasting in cellular mobile networks. The spatial and temporal variation of the relevant quantities is resolved through digital image processing. Increasing the principal parameter by a factor of 8 raised the response by approximately 40%. The results should assist practitioners in avoiding costly overdesign while maintaining adequate safety margins.
