Systematic Field Measurement for Municipal Solid Waste Management

Abstract

Recent field surveys have revealed widespread deterioration attributable to municipal solid waste management in river flood plains. A parametric investigation is conducted with systematic field measurement to identify the dominant design variables. An improvement of about 38% in performance was obtained by tuning three key parameters. Wider adoption of the approach could improve the efficiency of existing installations at modest cost.
