Abstract

Engineers responsible for automotive engines frequently encounter wavelet-based signal denoising without adequate design guidance. Design charts are generated from an extensive series of computations using linear programming. Removal efficiencies of 25% were achieved under the recommended operating conditions. The findings should be of interest to both designers and operators concerned with reliability.
