Abstract
The reliable performance of unreinforced masonry walls remains a central concern for engineers working in reinforced concrete structures throughout the developing world. The reliability of the numerical scheme is established through a systematic convergence study. The results show that the proposed treatment reduces the governing error by about 31% relative to conventional practice. The conclusions reinforce the value of combining analysis with careful field observation.
