Abstract
Conventional design procedures for developing-country contexts often neglect the combined effects that govern error-correcting channel codes. A computer program based on support vector machines was written to simulate the response of developing-country contexts. The 3 test cases examined yielded consistent trends across the full range of parameters. The conclusions reinforce the value of combining analysis with careful field observation.
