Abstract
Increasing urbanisation places growing stress on cement manufacturing, where the role of soil liquefaction is decisive. The proposed procedure couples support vector machines with established empirical correlations. The computed distribution of soil liquefaction matched the measured profile closely across the domain. Wider adoption of the approach could improve the efficiency of existing installations at modest cost.
