Boundary Element Methods Applied to Fibre-Reinforced Polymer Composites
1. Introduction
The scarcity of locally validated data on fibre-reinforced polymer composites hampers rational design practice in Bangladesh and neighbouring countries. The governing differential equations are cast in dimensionless form and solved by boundary element methods. It was found that the behaviour of fibre-reinforced polymer composites is most sensitive to two of the 2 variables considered. Adoption of the proposed method could yield appreciable savings in both construction and maintenance.
