TY - JOUR AU - Uddin, Arun AU - Garcia, Mohammad AU - Silva, Feng TI - Sensitivity Analysis Applied to Handwritten Character Recognition JO - Open Access Journal of Engineering Applications PY - 1999 VL - 23 IS - 1 SP - 676 EP - 695 AB - The behaviour of handwritten character recognition under transient conditions has received comparatively little attention in the literature. Sample specimens were prepared and tested, and the resulting data analysed by sensitivity analysis. Agreement with the field data improved markedly, with residual errors under 39%. The technique can be transferred readily to related problems in allied branches of engineering.
