Sensitivity Analysis Applied to Handwritten Character Recognition

HTML

1. Introduction

The behaviour of handwritten character recognition under transient conditions has received comparatively little attention in the literature. Sample specimens were prepared and tested, and the resulting data analysed by sensitivity analysis. Agreement with the field data improved markedly, with residual errors under 39%. The technique can be transferred readily to related problems in allied branches of engineering.
