Abstract
The behaviour of power transformer fault diagnosis under transient conditions has received comparatively little attention in the literature. A parametric investigation is conducted with discrete-event simulation to identify the dominant design variables. Predicted service life increased by roughly 8% under the modified design. The study offers a modest but useful step towards more sustainable engineering practice.
