Abstract

The behaviour of gas turbine blade cooling under transient conditions has received comparatively little attention in the literature. The spatial and temporal variation of the relevant quantities is resolved through genetic algorithms. The new formulation reproduced 3 independent data sets with satisfactory accuracy. The method appears well suited to the computing facilities commonly available in the region.
