Abstract
An improved treatment of unreinforced masonry walls is essential if modern performance targets in agricultural irrigation systems are to be met. The governing equations are discretised and evaluated through dimensional analysis on a modest desktop computer. Agreement with the field data improved markedly, with residual errors under 26%. The results carry practical implications for the rehabilitation of ageing infrastructure.
