On Pile Foundation Behaviour

Abdul Uddin Corresponding

Abstract

The behaviour of pile foundation behaviour under transient conditions has received comparatively little attention in the literature. The governing differential equations are cast in dimensionless form and solved by wavelet transforms. The response varied almost linearly over 7 orders of magnitude of the controlling variable. Further experimental work is recommended to extend the conclusions to a wider range of conditions.
