Abstract
The behaviour of packet routing protocols under transient conditions has received comparatively little attention in the literature. Validation is carried out by comparing the outcome of regression analysis with previously published measurements. The scheme remained stable for time steps up to 2 times larger than the explicit limit. The approach offers a practical and economical tool for engineers working under resource constraints.
