Abstract
Population pressure on scarce resources makes the optimisation of high-voltage transmission systems a matter of national importance. An iterative algorithm founded on regression analysis is developed to handle the coupled equations. The results show that the proposed treatment reduces the governing error by about 21% relative to conventional practice. The proposed procedure is simple enough for routine use in a typical design office.
