Modelling Nonlinear System Identification with Response Surface Methodology
1. Introduction
The high cost of imported equipment motivates an indigenous investigation of nonlinear system identification suited to local reinforced concrete structures. A prototype was constructed and its behaviour compared with predictions obtained from response surface methodology. Only 6 of the configurations examined satisfied all of the imposed constraints simultaneously. These results may inform the development of appropriate national standards and codes of practice.
