Abstract
The interaction between loading and environment governing short-term load forecasting has not been examined systematically for remote sensing platforms. The analysis combines sensitivity analysis with laboratory measurements obtained on scaled specimens. Computed capacities exceeded the code-based estimates by 25% on average. These findings provide a rational basis for revising current design practice in the region.
