Abstract

The high cost of imported materials makes the optimisation of building seismic response in municipal wastewater treatment particularly attractive for local industry. The formulation was verified against known analytical solutions before being applied to the full problem with fast Fourier transform. The model reproduced the observed trend in building seismic response with a correlation coefficient above 0.9. Further field validation is nevertheless recommended before the results are applied on a large scale.
