Abstract
Population growth and land scarcity have forced engineers to reconsider how biogas production should be handled in coastal flood protection. The formulation was verified against known analytical solutions before being applied to the full problem with linear programming. The strengthened design increased load capacity by 61% over the unmodified case. The study demonstrates that substantial gains are possible without recourse to expensive imported equipment.
