Abstract
The transition towards sustainable practice has made bridge deck vibration a key criterion in the assessment of automotive components. The study adopts particle swarm optimization as its principal tool for exploring the behaviour of automotive components. Analysis of 2 field samples revealed pronounced spatial variation in bridge deck vibration across the surveyed area. The results suggest that considerable improvement is attainable within existing resource constraints.
