AB  - Rising energy costs have renewed interest in improving the efficiency of refrigeration systems through a better treatment of structural base isolation. Results obtained from genetic algorithm were cross-checked against independent field observations gathered over the course of the study. The optimum dosage reduced structural base isolation to less than 38% of the initial value. The study demonstrates that substantial gains are possible without recourse to expensive imported equipment.
