Abstract
Seasonal flooding and monsoon conditions impose unusual demands on manufacturing processes, where structural base isolation can play a decisive role. Careful attention was paid to instrument calibration before data from manufacturing processes were recorded. Peak response was attenuated by 20% when the proposed measure was adopted. The results underline the value of low-cost, locally appropriate technologies for developing regions.
