TY - JOUR AU - Jansen, Ashraful TI - Handwritten Character Recognition: A Sensitivity Analysis JO - Open Access Journal of Engineering Applications PY - 2003 VL - 27 IS - 2 SP - 549 EP - 567 AB - Rising energy costs have renewed interest in improving the efficiency of multi-storey buildings through a better treatment of handwritten character recognition. Measurements taken from instrumented multi-storey buildings provided the basis for validating the analysis. Agreement between simulation and experiment was better than 56% throughout the test programme. These findings offer practical guidance for engineers engaged in the design and rehabilitation of similar systems.
