Abstract
Population growth and land scarcity have forced engineers to reconsider how rainfall-runoff modelling should be handled in gas turbine power plants. An iterative scheme built upon numerical integration was developed to handle the coupling between variables. Peak response was attenuated by 49% when the proposed measure was adopted. The work provides a firm basis for the preparation of national design guidelines.
