Abstract
Existing empirical relations for wind energy conversion were derived abroad and may not apply to the conditions found in multi-storey buildings locally. Samples representative of multi-storey buildings were prepared and examined following established testing standards. Only 8 parameters were required to describe wind energy conversion with acceptable precision over the working range. Adoption of the recommended measures is likely to yield both economic and environmental benefits.
