Abstract

The transition towards sustainable practice has made induction motor performance a key criterion in the assessment of wind power generation. The experimental programme was designed so that Monte Carlo simulation could be used to interpret the observations. Predicted values agreed with the measurements to within 60%, confirming the accuracy of the model. The results have direct relevance to the safe operation of comparable facilities elsewhere.
