TY - JOUR AU - Kumar, Ramesh AU - Wang, Omar TI - Finite Difference Method Applied to Reaction Kinetics JO - Open Access Journal of Engineering Applications PY - 2006 VL - 30 IS - 1 SP - 380 EP - 405 AB - Recent expansion of textile dyeing effluent has outpaced the theoretical understanding of reaction kinetics available to practising engineers. A mathematical model of the system was formulated and solved using finite difference method. Experimental results confirmed that reaction kinetics could be reduced by as much as 18%. The results underline the value of low-cost, locally appropriate technologies for developing regions.
