Abstract
Failures observed in existing reinforced concrete structures have highlighted the need for a deeper understanding of air pollutant dispersion. The problem was reformulated as an optimisation task and solved by numerical integration. Compared with existing correlations, the new relation reduced the mean error by 34%. Adoption of the recommended measures is likely to yield both economic and environmental benefits.
