Abstract

Existing empirical relations for texture classification were derived abroad and may not apply to the conditions found in embedded control systems locally. The approach combines adaptive filtering with careful experimental measurement to characterise the behaviour of embedded control systems. The classification scheme achieved an accuracy of 57% on the test data. The results underline the value of low-cost, locally appropriate technologies for developing regions.
