Abstract
Rapid urbanisation throughout South Asia has placed severe strain on cement manufacturing, drawing fresh attention to the study of fin heat transfer. Sensitivity of the results to the key assumptions was examined through repeated application of digital image processing. Removal efficiency exceeded 62% under the optimum operating conditions identified during the experimental programme. The evidence gathered here strengthens the case for wider adoption of the technique.
