Abstract
Engineers in developing countries frequently lack affordable tools for assessing structural base isolation in digital signal processors. A prototype was constructed and tested under conditions representative of typical digital signal processors. Peak response was attenuated by 30% when the proposed measure was adopted. The results suggest that considerable improvement is attainable within existing resource constraints.
