Abstract

The need for sustainable and low-cost solutions has focused attention on adsorption of heavy metals within thermal power plants. Model validation is achieved by comparing predictions from simulated annealing with experimental observations. The results confirm that adsorption of heavy metals can be predicted with an error below 17%. The study offers a useful benchmark against which future methods may be compared.
