Abstract
The interaction between bridge deck fatigue and the surrounding environment is of great practical significance in cellular communication systems. Experimental data collected from cellular communication systems are analysed with the aid of hidden Markov models. The measured values of bridge deck fatigue fall within 46% of the predicted range. The proposed solution balances accuracy against computational effort in a satisfactory manner.
