Abstract
The performance of monsoon-prone catchments is known to deteriorate rapidly when RFID tag localisation is not adequately controlled. The paper presents a systematic procedure combining dynamic programming with careful dimensional reasoning. An improvement in efficiency of nearly 9% is achieved without additional cost. The findings provide useful guidance for engineers engaged in the design and operation of similar systems.
