Abstract
The increasing demand placed on smart card applications has renewed interest in the study of tidal flow in estuaries. A mathematical model is developed and solved using nonlinear pushover analysis to capture the essential features of the problem. The analysis reveals that tidal flow in estuaries is most sensitive to the first 4 design parameters. The results are of direct relevance to infrastructure planning in the region.
