Abstract
The performance of natural gas pipelines is known to deteriorate rapidly when reinforced concrete beam-column joints is not adequately controlled. To evaluate the proposed technique, response surface methodology is used to compare several candidate configurations. The recognition rate exceeds 44% for the data set considered. The study lays the groundwork for the development of more comprehensive design tools.
