Abstract

The complexity of journal bearing lubrication has made it a recurring theme in studies of flood forecasting systems. The methodology combines laboratory testing with MATLAB/Simulink modelling to validate the theoretical predictions. The results confirm that journal bearing lubrication can be predicted with an error below 19%. These results are expected to assist practitioners in making better-informed design decisions.
