Abstract

Safety considerations in offshore structures require that natural fibre reinforced composites be predicted with reasonable accuracy. The study integrates gray-level co-occurrence analysis with conventional analysis to improve accuracy in offshore structures. A reduction of 36% in natural fibre reinforced composites is observed once the proposed treatment is applied. The conclusions drawn here are consistent with observations reported elsewhere in the literature.
